Larry has over 20 years of staffing experience focused on financial executive search. He is a CPA and also has several staffing industry certifications including the CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant), CSP (Certified Staffing Professional) and the CTS (Certified Temporary – Staffing Specialist).
He joined Accounting Career Consultants in 1997 after spending 3 years with one of the Big 4 CPA firms. He quickly became the top billing consultant in the office and before too long was breaking most of the company’s production records. Within three years he had taken on a management role in the organization and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Accounting Career Consultants. He has had personal involvement in over 400 successfully completed searches. In July of 2012 he became President by completing the purchase of the company from his father, Mel, after 15 years working together.
Mel is the former President and Owner of Accounting Career Consultants. He proudly completed the successful sale of the business to his son, Larry, in July 2012. He combines 20 years of accounting experience (including public accounting and industry positions up to Controller roles) with over 35 years of staffing experience.
He has worked with and has known many of his candidates and clients for 10-20+ years and focuses on long-term relationships. He joined a partner in the business as a franchise of a national company. Within 5 years he bought out his partner and bought out of his franchise agreement and grew the company into one of the leading boutique financial staffing firms in St. Louis. Mel is a CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) and he previously was a licensed CPA.
Mark joined Accounting Career Consultants in 2012 as a Staffing Consultant and quickly progressed to a Senior Account Manager in 2015. He has been the firm’s biggest producer since 2015. For his achievements, Mark became the first Senior Account Manager promoted to Principal in 2018, as he has taken on a bigger leadership role in the firm. At the end of 2020, he was promoted to Vice President for his production and contribution to the firm.
Mark works with companies to solve their financial staffing challenges and evaluate Accounting and Financial Candidates for the firm’s clients. He has quickly earned a reputation as one of the top accounting and finance recruiters in St. Louis and throughout the Midwest. Mark received his BA in Political Science from Miami University of Ohio after graduating from John Burroughs High School in St. Louis. Mark held numerous leadership roles in the Delta Chi fraternity. He is also a CPC – Certified Personnel Consultant.
Chris came to Accounting Career Consultants after seven years in the financial advisory business with one of the top insurance and financial services companies in the industry. He brings his consultative and relationship-based approach to working with the firm’s clients to help them solve their staffing needs. He has become a valuable resource to some of St. Louis’s top companies.
His primary focus is working with companies on Searches and Projects to improve their financial talent. He is also involved in evaluating Accounting and Financial Candidates both in the St. Louis area as well as nationally for his clients. He spends his time closely identifying the clients staffing needs and challenges through thorough fact-finding and bringing the most well-aligned candidates to fill those roles and make an impact within these organizations.
For his contributions to the firm, he was promoted to Principal at the end of 2019.
Chris has his Bachelors in Communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia as well as a Business Minor. He is also a CPC – Certified Personnel Consultant.
Shani joined Accounting Career Consultants in 2019 to assist clients with their accounting and financial contract/temporary projects and to help grow the staffing division. Her main focus is building relationships with clients and candidates in order to match the best candidates with our clients’ needs. Based on her experience and getting off to such a good start, she was quickly promoted to manage the Staffing division. She has quickly grown the division to almost 40 employees and was promoted to a Senior Staffing Manager at the end of 2020 and Staffing Managing Director at the beginning of 2022 for her performance and the leadership role she has taken with the division. She brings over 15 years of sales management to the ACC team. She brings a great attitude, focus and work ethic to everything that she does.
Michelle has over 25 years of staffing industry experience. She joined Accounting
Career Consultants in 2010 and was promoted to Senior Recruiting Manager in 2013 and now Director in 2021. Prior to joining Accounting Career Consultants, Michelle had built a strong reputation in the financial community working for two other local financial search firms. She also spent two years in public accounting audit with one of the Big 4 firms prior to getting into the industry. Michelle is a CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) in addition to a CPA.
Mark has over 25 years of staffing industry experience. Prior to joining Accounting Career Consultants in 2013, Mark established a consistent repeat clientele through relentless effort, loyalty, and delivering positive results. He has successfully placed many of the areas most respected Accounting and Finance Professionals with premier St. Louis organizations.
Mark has a B.S. in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing and Management from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville.
Renee joined Accounting Career Consultants in 2015. She works hard for her candidates to help them find the best next step in their careers and to help her clients find the right talent solution for their situation. She was promoted to Senior Account Manager at the end of 2017. Renee graduated with a BA in History/Political Science and an MA in Computer Science & Information Management from Webster University. She brings strong communication and leadership skills that she developed during her fifteen years of Sales and IT experience and a passion for building relationships to the firm.
Mindy has over 10 years of recruiting industry experience with Accounting Career Consultants focusing on direct-hire placement in accounting and finance. She was promoted to Senior Recruiting Manager in 2018. Prior to Accounting Career Consultants, Mindy had experience in sales and management with Nordstrom Inc., where she was the number one manager in sales four years in a row. Mindy has a B.A. in Communications and Culture from Indiana University, Bloomington.
Emma joined Accounting Career Consultants at the beginning of 2018, while wrapping up her degree, as a Researcher. At the beginning of 2019, Emma began recruiting and is now one of the top recruiters in the office. Her primary focus is to assist accounting and finance professionals in improving their careers by building and maintaining exceptional relationships and learning about what motivates each individual. Since 2020 she has also started to work with clients to assist them with identifying, recruiting and landing high performing employees. Emma was promoted to Senior Account Manager at the end of 2021 for her excellent track record of producing results. Emma has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Business Administration from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
Nick joined Accounting Career Consultants in the beginning of 2019 as a Recruiter to identify and work with candidates for the firm’s clients’ accounting and financial direct-hire recruiting needs. In his position, Nick recruits, interviews and works with candidates to help them improve their careers. He has also started to work on client development where he is starting to assist companies with their hiring needs. Nick was promoted to Recruiting Manager at the end of 2021 for his performance. Prior to joining Accounting Career Consultants, Nick worked in Sales and Sales Management where he honed his skills at anticipating the needs of his clients and learning how best to achieve them. Nick has a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Lindenwood University.
Elisha joined Accounting Career Consultants in 2019 to assist clients with their accounting and financial contract/temporary projects, identify and hire candidates for their projects and to help grow the staffing division. Her main focus is building relationships with clients and candidates in order to match the best candidates with our clients’ needs. She brings over 15 years of retail sales management to the ACC team. Fun fact, Elisha has 3 dogs and 4 birds and volunteers for several animal welfare charities. She brings a great attitude, work ethic and caring personality to the ACC Staffing team. Elisha was promoted to Staffing Manager at the end of 2021 for her track record of success as she has become a key driver of the staffing division’s growth.
Jason joined Accounting Career Consultants in 2017. He is involved in both supporting candidate’s careers and helping clients recruit high performing employees Prior to his experience in the Recruiting industry, Jason had several years of customer service and business development experience. With this experience comes a true understanding of the correlation between relationships and business success. Jason takes pride in helping candidates facilitate their career path while also helping client companies with their individual business needs. Jason has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lindenwood University.
Tiffany joined Accounting Career Consultants in 2021 to help the firm start a new human resource search practice called HR Career Consultants. Prior to joining HR Career Consultants, Tiffany had more than 10 years of retail management experience and nearly 5 years of human resources and recruitment experience. Tiffany also has her BS in Organizational Development and her MBA in Human Resource Management. Tiffany will be networking in the St. Louis human resources community to help grow the practice and identify and recruit high performing candidates for the firms’ clients.
Samantha joined HR Career Consultants in 2021 as a Senior Recruiter after spending five years in the hospitality industry. With a service-centered focus, Samantha looks to build strong foundations of trust and support through compassion and persistence, to help both clients and candidates alike find their ideal match. Samantha offers years of experience in sales, human resources, management, and leadership development. In 2020, she obtained national accreditation with the John Maxwell Team as a certified speaker, coach, and trainer to grow, both personally and professionally, and positively impact the lives of others. She graduated with the distinction of magna cum laude, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Delta State University. Samantha will be networking in the Greater St. Louis area within the human resources community to help grow the practice while aiming to identify and recruit high performing candidates for the firms’ clients.
